Pokémon VGC 2025 World Championships

The premier event of the VGC 2025 season played on Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet using the Regulation I format was held as 371 qualified players traveled to compete at the 2025 World Championships in Anaheim, California on August 15-17, 2025! Players battled through 8 Swiss Rounds on Day 1 where those who finished with two or fewer losses advanced to Day Two. Players on Day Two played through 2 additional Swiss Rounds where those with the same record as the 8th seed advanced to a single-elimination bracket to determine the winner! In addition, the top 4 players earn an invite to the 2026 World Championships.

The Pokémon Company International (TPCi) was in Anaheim to broadcast this event with Anna Prosser as the event's host and Rosemary Kelley, Scott Glaza, Aaron Zheng, Ben Kyriakou, Charlie Merriman, Lee Provost, Sierra Dawn, and Gabby Snyder as casters. 

Victory Road hosted a side stream that featured matches not on the main stage with Hayden McTavish, Kosta Daidmos, Simon Van der Borght, and Thaison Hughes as casters.
