The premier event of the VGC 2015 season took place over 200 qualified players traveled to compete at the 2015 World Championships on August 21-23, 2025 in Boston, Massachusetts. Day 1 qualified players started on Friday played 7 Swiss Rounds where those with two or fewer losses advanced to Saturday's Day 2 Swiss alongside Day 2 qualified players. Players on Day 2 played through 7 Swiss Rounds where the top 8 players advanced to a single-elimination bracket to determine the winner. In addition, the top 4 players earned an invite to the 2016 World Championships.
The Pokémon Company International (TPCi) was in Boston to broadcast this event with Duy Ha, Jonathan Indovino, Scott Glaza, and Justin Flynn as casters.
