The first VGC 2025 South African Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet Special Championship and the first played in the Regulation G format was held as 9 players traveled to compete at the 2025 Johannesburg, South Africa Special on April 27, 2025! Players battled through 4 Swiss Rounds where the top 3 players advanced to a single-elimination bracket to determine the winner! In addition, Special Champions earn an invite to the 2025 World Championships.
