These are the top 8 teams from the Pokémon VGC 2021 Japan Nationals! Players were able to qualify for this event by either finishing top 50 in the Japan Decisive Battle online event in August 2020 or top 100 in the online qualifier.
Qualified players competed in an online best of one tournament where the top 20 were invited a best of one tournament while the top 50 overall earned Day 1 invites to the 2022 World Championships! The top 8 players earned Day 2 invites to the 2022 World Championships while the top 4 earned travel awards and 1st place qualified for the Global Exhibition!
