The third Master Ball League of the VGC 2025 season took place in the Regulation G format as 48 players traveled to compete at the Bangkok, Thailand Master Ball League on May 17-18, 2025! Players battled through 6 Swiss Rounds where the top 16 players advanced to a single-elimination bracket to determine the winner. The top 4 players from the Thailand Premier Ball League earned guaranteed registration and round byes based on their placement.

The top 12 players earned an invite to the 2025 World Championships, with both Finalists earning Travel Awards to attend. An additional round pairs the players who lost in Top 16 to determine the 12 players that qualify for the World Championships.


The sixth VGC 2025 Latin American Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet Regional and the first played in the Regulation I format was held as 131 players traveled to compete at the 2025 Santiago, Chile Regional on May 17-18, 2025! Players battled through 7 Swiss Rounds on Day 1 where those who finished with two or fewer losses advanced to Day Two. Players on Day Two played through 2 additional Swiss Rounds where those with the same record as the 8th seed advanced to a single-elimination bracket to determine the winner! In addition, Regional Champions earn an invite to the 2025 World Championships.


The second VGC 2025 European Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet Special Championship and the first played in the Regulation I format was held as 619 players traveled to compete at the 2025 Utrecht, Netherlands Special on May 17-18, 2025! Players battled through 8 Swiss Rounds on Day 1 where those who finished with two or fewer losses advanced to Day Two. Players on Day Two played through 3 additional Swiss Rounds where those with the same record as the 8th seed advanced to a single-elimination bracket to determine the winner! In addition, Special Champions earn an invite to the 2025 World Championships.

Players on Day Two played through 2 additional Swiss Rounds where those with the same record as the 8th seed advanced to a single-elimination bracket to determine the winner! In addition, Regional Champions earn an invite to the 2025 World Championships.

A grassroots stream was done on Pokémon GO caster Josh Starrett's Twitch channel with Henry RichScott SellersHarrison McCowage, and Paul Amedee as casters.


The fourth Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet Grand Challenge of the VGC 2025 season took place as 2781 players who were eligible to earn CP competed in the 2025 Grand Challenge IV in Regulation I, an online event exclusively for players who lived in TPCi regions on May 9-11, 2025!

During this tournament, which started May 9, 2025 at 00:00 UTC, players can play up to 15 games on May 9, up to 30 games on May 10, and up to 45 games by May 11. Players can enter any game until May 11, 2025 at 23:59 UTC. All players who finished at least 3 games earned 100,000 League Points, a Gold Bottle Cap, and an Ability Patch.

The Pokémon Company International (TPCi) held a Grand Challenge Showcase broadcast featuring Wolfe Glick and Aaron Zheng as they played through the tournament.
